WEEBLY
I made a website before by using frontpage. It is extremely difficult when we compare with the weebly. It was really hard to use and I had to spend too much time. Weebly is not complicated,it is easy and enjoyable. I really had difficult time while making a website last year, but now I know how to use Weebly , I can prepare a website easily and enjoyable way.I think , it is useful and beneficial.
This week,we wised up how to prepare digital stories. While preparing digital stories, we can benefit from storynory, storyjumper, dfilm and learnenglishkids.britishcouncil. I think, all of them are enjoyable so I will use digital stories in my class. We can create good environment for our student while teaching something, they can supply easy learning for the students.
This week, we wised up to the Nicenet, Dokeos and Edmodo. I have known Dokeos and Edmodo. Nicenet is new for me. I learnt that all of them are similar, they service as a learning platform for education but they have some distinctive features. We used Dokeos before but we came across with difficulties while using. It is more complex than the others.If we talk about nicenet, it is a platform which can be used by educators to discuss their ideas. I think, it is not useful because we can displays only writing, we cannot show any graphics, pictures, videos etc. I have used Edmodo for two years. I think, it is easy to use and we can share and upload what we want. At last, we learnt how to use Prezi. If we can compare with the Powerpoint, it is so challenging and attractive, but it is more difficult to use rather than the other and also we have to use it as an online. I think , If we have the necessary facilities, we can use Prezi. It’s to say that I learnt lots of useful and practical programs which I have never heard before.

I’ve never heard “ Hot Potatoes” before. It is an application that you can create exercises for the World Wide Web and it has six different applications. These are JQuiz, JMix, JCross, JCloze, JMatch and the last one is JMasher which complies the all Hot Potatoes Exercises. We can create multiple choice, short-answer, crossword, matching , gap-fill exercises. I think , it helps us to create exercises in a little time.
Firstly, we talked about Online Communities of Practice. Webhead is the most useful kinds of COP and it is a worldwide online-community of educators. Groups of people can communicate with each other via webheads. If we have a Yahoo account , we can enroll and join this platform. I think, it is beneficial for educators because it gives chance to discuss any topic to learn much more information.
Dropbox is so practical and useful. I have used it for two years. It is an important service to keep our flies and our flies are everywhere! Namely, it is the most popular online file storage and we can access our flies whenever we want. I think, it is also the most safest application. If we delete our flies accidentally, we can retrieve all our deleted flies for 30 days.
We can create or build up collection of links our own research via Delicious .It is a quick program to organize our links. I have never heard before since I spent so much time to write links according to its rules two years ago. Now, I have learnt how to use it. I think, all teachers need to know it!
Firstly, I want to mention about Duolingo. I think , It is very enjoyable and beneficial application for everyone. We can learn any languages we want. It offers French, German, Italian, Spanish etc. for us. Namely, we can learn any languages easily and it caters on our all skills; reading, listening, writing, and speaking. It offers lots of exercises and we can improve ourselves day by day. It supplies effective and stable learning for us , we cannot forget easily what we learn. I use it in my smartphone to learn Italian , it is very beneficial for everyone who wants to learn not only English but also the other languages.
Secondly, we learnt something about Merriam- Webster which is an American Dictionary of the English Language. I’ve never heard it before. It is an online dictionary. According to my research it includes 1,000 illustrations and 25 tables and we can reach Abbreviations, Foreign Words, Phrases, Biographical Names, Geographical Names and Symbols etc. I think, it is ver y useful and I use it now.
Thirdly, we learnt how to use socrative which is an online students response system and it allows teachers engage students with educational interactive exercises. We can create variety of exercises, quizzes , games, and also we can prepare multiple choice and true-false exercises. I think, it is very helpful for teachers, we can engage students through using technology and students can log in at the same time to answer the questions via socrative.
Lastly, we have seeing QR Code all over the place but I didn’t know why it is used.ı have learnt that we can create QR Code to share videos,websites etc. I think, all of them can be used to teach any language…
I am curious about what we will learn next lesson…
I think, this course “CALL” is very essential and beneficial for us. If only we had a chance to learn these programs before. At first, I supposed that this course was not beneficial and it is too complicated. But now I understand that learning these beneficial programs is necessary and it will be helpful for us when we became a teacher.
First of all, at the beginning of the lesson, we mention about EDMODO briefly. It is social learning platform for education. Both students and teachers can use it. They can share notes files and recources with each other. Last year we used Edmodo and we uploaded our homework assignment and we prepared digital stories and shared them in Edmodo. All the group members saw each others’ digital stories and we can also comments about them. I think also we can participate online discussion. I think, Edmodo is similar to Facebook. It can be used easily and it is beneficial for both students and teacher.
Secondly, we have learned important things about Wikipedia. Until up to our last lesson I supposed that Wikipedia contains true and reliable information.I have leraned that it is not true because anyone can write and delete information in Wikipedia.
Thirdly , we have learned PB Works. It encourages the students for group works project by allowing students to edit pages and participate to classroom discussion. At the beganing I come across some difficulties while using PB Works but later I have learned that it is easy and practical.
Lastly, Google Drive will be beneficial to use in classroom for us. We can create documents and presentation etc. and we can edit video over internet with the help of the Google Drive. For example; we can prepare presentation whitout meeting with our friends. I think it is also practical program and we do not waste our time. The other important thing is that; we can access our file remotely because of the fact that Google Drive synchronized all files and we can access whenever we want. There is no need to for USB.
I think, all of these programs are beneficial and useful.

I try to do with the help of the my smartphone and also the class design is not appropriate for the learning because we cannot see the board and what the teacher demonstrates us.
In our last lesson , we have learned how to use wordpress, rss, twitter, feedly and and twitterfall. At the first time, I had difficulties while using these applicaton and programs but now I have used them easily and I enjoy while using.
I have used twitter for two years actively and I think twitter is useful application for education because you can learn information about what you want to know by following. For example I am following Stephen Krashen , Linguistic Lesson etc. and getting important information.
Feedly is the most preferable to read blog enteries, news etc.I think it is very useful.For instance; feedly saves the content to read for you if we have no time at moment and we can read later.
WordPress is the most popular application all over the world because it supplies the demand of many users and allows to create application for people etc. I am following lots of blog and websites.
I am very thankful to learn how to use these application that will help me in the future. Last year, I used edmodo, glogster and blogger. I really advise all my friends to use glogster because it is very enjoyable and useful. Finally I am really wondering what we will learn in the next days.
